DDR simulators are exactly what the name defines. It is a program that simulates (or looks like) DDR. This forum is dedicated to discussion, help and questions about these simulators.

A few things to think about.

Do not ask for MP3s.
Do not ask for official DDR background movies.
You may ask for Simulator Zip files in this thread.

GOOD: "You can get the DWI at www.wherever.com", regardless of whether or not there's an MP3 attached
BAD: "You can get the DWI and MP3 at www.badpartoftheinternet.com"

Do not make Which Sim is the Best threads. They work just the same as DDR vs. PIU.

A lot of the answers to the questions you have can be found in your simulator's ReadMe file. Read that first, before posting a question. It might have the answer quicker than someone else can answer it. Read the FAQ as well, before you start posting.

Please state the name of the simulator you are having a problem with. There are differences between the simulators where a problem can be fixed quicker knowing this information.

From rampage:
Since we have a simulator-specific board, I'd like to re-iterate our policy for simulator files.

The policy is: Linking to sim-files is accepted. However, linking to licensed MP3s for the sim-files is NOT -- and will result in punishment according to the forum policies. So, discuss the sim-files all you want, just not their music. Of course, this only applies to licensed/copyrighted tracks. Music you have made yourself is of course, allowed.

Questions about this can be asked here.

SM Toasty Easter Egg

Yes, Charmy (or some other character) comes out of the side of the screen and says "TOASTY" when you reach some type of combo amount, which as far as I know hasn't been confirmed in Stepmania.

You may turn the option off by going into the menu and turning off the Easter Eggs in the CVS builds and newer versions. The older versions of SM do not have this option.

Make a thread about this, and it means you haven't read this.

That's no good.

Happy Finger Smashing!

DDR PC didn't really have a place to call home, and so because it shares so much topic material with the sims, I am shoehorning it into this forum. There is an official sticky topic for DDR PC discussion so take any questions/comments you have about DDR PC there.
