7th Style hiccups?

Well, I was just playing IIDX 7th last night, but when I played Last Message, at about 5 seconds into the song, the game just kinda froze really quick but then the notes just jumped, but then the music video was off and the notes were all not following the music.

Normally, i would'nt worry, but it happened agian, later on.

Any ideas on what might be causing it??? I'm using swap magic BTW

well, i can see it skipping if the PS2 constantly had to load data thru out the song (i'm not talking about the movie though, although i will clean my lens)

but once the song loads and it starts to play, does'nt the PS2 only read for the movie, so why did the notes and measure skip is what I am wondering. I would'nt worry if it was just the movie since my PS2 is a few years old.

Are you playing on a DVD-rip? (DVD game ripped onto CD. Pirated, of course) If so, that's why.

If not, it's probably your PS2's laser lens. Even if it's just reading the movie, it can still cause the song, itself, to skip. A skip in a movie puts preassure onto the PS2's CPU, and the game may be lagging that way.

Andy the happy mod-man: well, that makes sense, so i hope it does't come to that, but my PS2 does play other games alright though, so it might just be the lense. But i think it was just dirty, i got a new cleaner, and seems to be alright now.........heh
