I've noticed a few different styles, but overall the funniest is the T-Rex play style. Where the hands of the player make claws with their hands and sit in the hip bones during play.
Personally, my hand are just as comfortable as if I was walking, while I play. _________________

I'll point our Hagerstown T-Rex out to you at the SW tournament. |

My I usually make fists to help keep balence..in a jogging/fighting looking stance. It depends what steps I'm taking.. If they are all jumpy, I sorta spread out my arms (not much, but a bit) to also gain balence..
I just don't want to hit anyone while playing (unless they deserve it). |

Usually my arms stay to my sides.
But my hands....a different story.
Most of the time I find myself flexing my fingers or clenching my fists. |

I often find myself involuntarily grabbing the bottom of my jacket when I play. I haven't really noticed what my hands do when I'm not wearing it, though. _________________

I don't do much with my arms/hands...they just hang lifeless by my sides. I look angry when I play, I've been told. I guess I just concentrate too hard on the screen. _________________

My arms usually hang by my sides, and hardly move, unless I'm pulling off lots of tunrs in something like Breakdown or Exotic Ethnic, in which case I hold them straight out for balance, but they don't swing too much then, either. Also, when get worked up during a song, or nervous, I've noticed my right hand completely curls up, but not the left, for some reason.
Or, when I'm playing a hard song on extra stage, my hands are on the bar, and I'm hoping they don't slide downward and cause me to sip again. |

People have often told me that I look like I'm staring down the screen as if I'm going to try to murder it or something.
My arms are usually at my sides unless I loose balance. If that should happen I look like I'm trying to fly away. Flying away from my lack of balance ! _________________

Most of the time I just let my arms hang.. but for songs like EE with lots of turns I'll swing my arms to help me turn faster, and for fast songs like the Maxes I'll clench my fists.. _________________

I'm sure if it was sold for profit, Konami would clamp down on it (I'm sure it's a matter of time before they clamp down on ITG).[/quote]

It depends.
When I'm teching, I just let my hands relax.
When I FS, which I can barely do, I move my hands with the music, like in HIA57MG (look it up if you need to), I pretend to be uhm, it's hard to explain. It looks cool though. _________________
