Hey, there are so many people asking me these days which cheapo pad is the best since they can't afford good ignitions. Here are the contestants:

Naki DPR2
Madcatz Beat
MyMyBox High Energy
CypherGame's Topway

So which one's the best in your opinion? I'm guessing the Naki DPR2.

Though I don't know how easy they are to find and if you're playing via console or sim, I've loved my Topway PC pad (connects directly to LPT, and includes a LPT->PSX converter, though mine was DOA) that I found for $8 at a thrift store. It's lasted me quite a long time... I've had it for about 6 months now, and it wasn't modded until a month ago (to prevent slippage, not to stop defects) but it still works perfectly.

I had a Mad Catz Beat Pad that's been working fine for about 8 months now. Got it for $9 on clearance.

Of course, I wisened up pretty quick and got a hard pad, but it still works. One of my friends has it.

I've been hearing good things about the Naki DPR2's and the Mad Catz Beat pads. Which one of these do you think is better?

I am interested of getting pads for my computer too, since I'm too lazy to bring my metal pads upstairs. I found two LPT pads:

http://www.buynshop.com/productinfophp3/VG-DDR-PC

and

http://www.play-asia.com/paos-13-3002400a.html

Which one do you recommend? Anyways, I only have one printer port, but is there a way I can play doubles? If I can't play doubles with these, I might as well get a EMSUSB2 and use the best cheapo pads.

mines lasted for about its 3rd year.
I recommend that you get the first pad you posted, its for both pc and ps which will come in handy. About any pad bordered in green is offically "crappy" so i don't even consider those pads.

Yeah I guess you're right, haha. But can you hook up two of these pads to your computer?

I have the naki dpr2 pad. Bought it from software etc. Its not that bad of a pad actually. I weigh 200 lbs, and I do try and treat it nice and not beat it a lot. I use it 30-45 mina day, and it works just fine after 3 months. Only problem I have with it is occasionally the back button doesnt complete the circuit everytime, but that is actually rare. Its a fine pad, and I am going to buy another so I play doubles. CAnt go wrong for $20
