i have yet to see anyone wear a ddr tshirt other than me. (not the ddrfreak one though, i have the "Revolutionary" one). if i saw anyone with one on i would think it was pretty cool. i'd just give a little nod or a "hey" and be on my way.

Well Just Jeff I'll answer that for you.

Where I play (Powerstation Long Beach) I do occasionally see a guy wearing a DDR freak.com shirt. The same guy too. He plays DDR of course, but he doesnt act like hes an elite DDR player. He just seems to play...and leave. Nothing special. I dont talk to him or anything. He seems like one of the few DDR players that are down to earth. I respect that very much.

Anyway he's a pretty tall dude. Shaved head...and if you're reading this. If I see you again I'll introduce myself to you.

take care. Keep on DDRing!

I don't have a ddrfreak shirt. I've only seen a couple people wear them. I have my Cyberbeat nation shirt though. I wear it every now and then.

10 days ago I was at O'Hare airport in Chicago picking up my family when I saw a supercute girl wearing a DDR t-shirt. I don't know if it was a DDRfreak.com shirt of not, but it was white with black arrows on the front. I don't remember if there was anything printed on the back or not. She also had a Yu-Gi-Oh tote bag, which confirmed that she was into geeky things, and thus, cooler than pretty much every girl I know.

For a few seconds I thought about saying something to her, but my parents were nearby waiting for their luggage, and I really didn't know if she was in a hurry or not. Besides, I'm 23 and she could have been 16 for all I know, and I'd bet any amount of money that she could probably kill me at DDR.

The moral: I don't know if there is one or not. They do attract attention though.

Well, I haven't seen anyone wear one, but, when I played Extreme today (for my first time, yay!) this other guy came by and did REALLY good. Well, I'm still pretty much a beginner, and I just started talking to him, and I asked him about DDRFreak. He said he visits the site, but doesn't post. Man, I'd like to have a DDRFreak shirt next I see him though. Cause I'm just cool like that. (Feh, yeah right.) E7.gif

I'm no.3. You don't see me running out to get one.

But I have 2 reasons for that.

1) A girl I really really really hate has one and does wear it on occasion. I want to make every effort possible to avoid being associated with her in anyway.

2) I don't know if they are comfortable. I don't buy shirts that aren't comfortable.

I totally want one now... X_x I will probably end up getting one... and wearing it proud. Then when the first girl disses me because I wear a DDR-related T-shirt, I'd probably rip it off right there... and if it's sweaty from DDR, I'd throw it at her... and if it wasn't sweaty, I'd just keep it on, and act like nothing happened. =D

I currently own 4 DDR/Bemani related t-shirts:

1) One of the only "Always In Motion" t-shirts ... I think they're still available via CafePress.com haha!

2) a black DDR Freak shirt

3) a red-sleeved BemaniX.com jeresy

4) the black DDR "Revolutionary Dancer" baby tee from http://www.game-skins.com

I wear all of these every so often. I still have yet to receive a comment about it.

If I see someone else with a DDR Freak shirt (or something related), I just say "Hey that's cool ... I have a shirt like that." That's about it. E1.gif

I don't talk to people unless they talk to me ... I'm shy like that hehe. riiight.gif

Well the reason why I asked is because some people think that they are dorky or whatever or that the wearers are total fanboys.

I think if a person goes to the site and posts and thinks someone else is dorky for wearing the shirt, that makes them equally dorky by their own definition because they too visit the site.

I think it's just a shirt though.

I have no idea why anyone would make fun of someone for wearing them. I have 1 and i wear it all the time, they honestly are good shirts.

I happen to wear one, and I don't act like I'm the best or 1337. I've seen a few here and there but I don't ask for their screen name or nothin. I mind my business and they mind theirs. Umm...I really haven't had anybody ask who I am or anything.

The reason a lot of people don't wear them is because they don't want to be associated with these forums, because honestly when I look at somebody wearing them, I imagine them being like the following:

"Wwoz I pazzzd my 3~rd cata today!!!~~Ima gonna put it in my sig like whut 1337 style DDR rox~Dynamite Rave for Life!~~! geocities.com/mypasssedcataz"

or

"Banned for flaming! Banned for cursing! Banned for linking to mp3s! Banned for not liking me! Banned because I'm in a bad mood! Banned for eating hamburgers! Banned for disagreeing with my opinions! You got 3 points, then you got 1 point, then you got 6, which means you have 10, which means you're banned. You don't know the rules? Well here's the link. You're supposed to read this before you join the forums even though we know nobody ever reads terms and conditions for anything ever."

Seriously, posting on these forums is like being back in high school.

Yes, I know the majority of people on the forums....or maybe the minority.... are NOT like that. I mean, I post on these forums. And it doesn't mean I won't talk to the person if I see them wearing the shirt..... but I associate the shirts with the forums, not the site..... (hence why I never bought one; I like the site itself, it's definitely the best DDR info source).

I do, however, have a bemanix.com shirt and I'm wearing it right now. (The old ones with the yellow IIDX controller on them). I live in Atlanta, but I'm wearing a SoCal site's T-shirt.... oh well, it's a cool shirt, and I like their forums. :-)
